Receiving Collabs and Deliverables from Creators

Everyday more creators are using Brkaway to streamline collaboration management, and if you’re reading this, it’s likely a creator has shared a Collab or Deliverable with you on Brkaway. 

In this Brkaway Brkdown, we'll guide you through the process of reviewing a Collab from a creator, and merging it to your Brkaway account.

Merging a Collab

When a creator submits a Collab for your review you’ll be notified via email and you’ll see the Collab in the Request tab on your My Collabs page. On the Collab you’ll have a few things to look at:

1. Deliverable Details:

• On the Deliverables tab you can view all Deliverables and their respective due dates.
• You can toggle between Deliverable cards and a Calendar view to change how you see the Collab timeline.

2. Documents:

• On the Documents tab you’ll find any documents the creator has shared with you.

3. Invoice information:

• On the Invoice tab you’ll see the currency and compensation details for the Collab.
• Unlike when you create a Collab, you will not be able to adjust compensation information. Only the creator can make adjustments.

Once you review the Collab details you’ll have the option to Merge the Collab to your Brkaway account. Merging the Collab will bring the Collab and all associated Deliverables into your Brkaway account. It will also make you the Assignee on the Collab and all associated Deliverables. You’ll see Deliverables populate on your Content Board and Calendar, the creator will appear in My Creators, and the Collab will appear in My Collabs. 

Pro Tip: Merging is the key to seamlessly integrating the creator's Collab into your workflow. If you don’t merge you will not see the Collab on your Brkaway account and you won’t receive notifications for things like due dates changes and comments.

Merging a Deliverable

On Brkaway, creators can choose to share only a Deliverable and not the associated Collab with you. When a creator shares a Deliverable with you, the deliverable will also appear in the Request tab on your My Collabs page. This time however, you’ll only be able to merge the Deliverable to your account.

Once merged, you’ll see the Deliverable populate on your Content Board and you’ll receive updates for changes made. You will not see the associated Collab added to My Collabs.Brkaway is designed to make collaborations smooth and transparent regardless of who created the Collab.
