Introduce yourself!

I'm a full time content creator and I also own a side baking business! I have a background in tech and acting, and absolutely love being creative, whether that is making UGC videos for brands or fun baking videos on my personal socials!

Why did you become a creator?

I absolutely love acting, and I have always loved fashion and styling, and I initially started my Instagram to showcase my fashion while I was attending acting auditions. After a few years in the acting industry, you realize how competitive it is and I wanted to start making my own content and taking on-camera work into my own hands, so I merged fashion and being on-camera to creating my own content for others to view! From there, I realized my love for UGC content because for me it is like creating a little commercial each time I make a video.

What is your favourite part about being a creator?

The flexibility of being able to work for myself, as well as the creative freedom.

What does a typical content day look like for you?

I wake up in the morning and answer any emails that have already come in from either the night before or the morning of. Once my inbox is cleared, I usually clean up my apartment to make sure it's ready to for filming as the majority of my content is shot at home. I then shoot the campaigns I need to get done, as well as some content for my personal socials. In the later afternoon I'll get back to emails and editing.

Michele's Brkaway Portfolio

Do you have any advice/pointers for new creators?

Consistency is key! And find something you are passionate about because more likely than not, you will spend a lot of time in that niche or hobby creating content on it. When you love something it will be more genuine and authentic and people can tell when you really love what you do.
